At 44, Momoa and 56-year-old Bonet were once a cherished Hollywood couple, known for keeping their relationship details relatively private, which only fueled fans’ curiosity about their love story.
Momoa shared a charming story about how he first noticed Bonet on TV while she was playing Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show. Captivated by her performance, the young actor turned to his mother and exclaimed, “Mommy, I want that one.”
Their fateful meeting took place in 2005 at a jazz club, where they were introduced by mutual friends, and it was an instant connection for Momoa. He recounted the moment on The Late Late Show with James Corden, saying, “I literally turned around, and I see her, and she goes, ya know, ‘I’m Lisa.’ I turned to my friend and was like, ‘Ahhh!’ I felt like fireworks were going off inside me.”

After his divorce, Momoa was sometimes spotted living in his camper van, which he parked close to the home he used to share with Bonet and their kids. However, Momoa’s love for a nomadic lifestyle isn’t something new. Back in his pre-fame days, he embarked on an adventurous trip through Ireland with a friend, fully embracing the nomadic way of life.
Recently, he shared a peek into his van life on Instagram, highlighting the eco-friendly features of his living space, such as plastic-free products. Momoa even demonstrated his ingenuity by creating a shower with a hanging shower head on the van’s door and cleverly parking near a superstore for extra convenience.
