Not a hero because I am not a burden! I can’t believe we would have been married a YEAR this summer!!!

It took me a long time to actually believe that - this was NOT an overnight process! My partner has never made me feel like a burden but I would often put that feeling on myself.

After I found the Disabled community and listened to other people I learnt that my disability isn’t anything to be ashamed of at all and that although my relationship might look a bit different to a non disabled persons, it doesn’t mean I don’t give and bring amazing things to the table.

I’m also very aware that I am very lucky and privileged to be able to get married as many Disabled people are not able to due to losing benefits.

Disabled people make amazing partners and you are lucky to date us hehe
