A year on from my diagnosis and this is what I’ve learnt about myself!
It was a bit of a weird one really, because I was diagnosed and then offered nothing else by the NHS - you are sort of just left?
Sooo I’ve been navigating and processing my diagnosis over the last year and what that means to me!
Of course diagnosis is not possible for everyone and self diagnosis is very valid! For me - I spend so much time doubting myself (and not others lol because if someone told me they were self diagnosed I would believe them, but for me? No it’s a different rule?! Don’t worry I’m working on it lol!) that having someone go ‘oh yeah, you’re autistic’ felt both validating and terrifying all at the same time?
